President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Thursday, 20 August 2026, launch Phase 3 of the Government-Business Partnership, an economic partnership aimed at driving reforms, boosting investment and creating jobs.
The President will convene Ministers and senior business leaders to set out a shared plan to accelerate economic growth and strengthen South Africa’s position as an investment destination.
Phase 2 of the Partnership delivered measurable results. South Africa has now gone more than a year without loadshedding, while rail freight volumes have improved significantly and port performance has strengthened.
The country has also successfully exited the FATF Grey List, while both S&P and Fitch have upgraded South Africa’s credit rating.
Phase 3 will focus on converting this renewed confidence into sustained economic growth and create meaningful job opportunities, while further strengthening South Africa’s investment case.
